Important Biosecurity Notice

No Farm Collections Are Permitted.

To protect our breeding stock and the health of our current chicks, we maintain a strict closed-flock policy regarding visitors. Collections are not permitted directly at our farm under any circumstances. Instead, collections are safely arranged in town, or we offer a convenient delivery service within 20km from Koolfontein, Meyerton, Gauteng. If you require delivery beyond the 20km radius, standard delivery fees will be applied to your order.

The Savvy Hatchery Process

We prefer a hands-on approach. From your first consultation to the moment you collect your chicks, here is exactly how we facilitate your orders.

1. Consult & Advise

It all starts with a conversation. Contact us to inquire about our current stock levels. We don't just sell chicks; we will actively assist with your breeding program. Tell us your goals, and we will advise you on the best genetic lines and color variations to match your specific requirements before you commit.

2. Place Your Order

Once you are happy with the plan, you place your order. Because breeding takes time, we may need to wait for new hatchlings to complete your specific request. In these cases, a deposit is required to secure your chicks.

3. Delivery or Collection

When your flock is ready, we coordinate the handover. Collect at our designated meeting point in town, or use our delivery service. Free delivery within 20km of Koolfontein, Meyerton.

  • Spacious Enclosures: Large, open-air enclosures. We do not believe in overcrowding.
  • Climate-Controlled Brooding: Multiple brooding boxes with dedicated, stable heat sources for optimal early development.
  • Strict Health Protocols: All chickens are fully vaccinated and receive regular high-quality vitamin supplements.
  • 100% Weather Protection: All birds are housed under cover, completely protected from rain, drafts, and severe cold.

Professional Advisory

We love supporting local breeders and will happily provide initial advice. However, extensive ongoing 24/7 advisory services outside of standard purchasing support may incur professional consultation fees.
